Integrity

I converse with a great number of people everyday and as you know some are worthy of a conversation and some of those conversations round out your day with that needed additional wisdom. Recently I spoke with an individual about integrity.

As we conversed the one apparent issue that became apparent is that integrity is not valued today as it once was. Let us first look at the meaning of integrity which is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

First and foremost honesty in this day and age has become a way to use information against you in most cases to belittle or angle dominance against another individual, The most important part of the meaning of integrity has to do with moral principles that shape us into who we have become.

Morality…hmm…I seek for that morality that I saw growing up which was clear as a pane of glass. The morals of today have been distorted and twisted in most cases to suit the narcissistic motivations of individuals. Integrity should be honored and valued above most everything in order to live in a truly civilized world.

To trust anyone with your sincere honest thoughts and allow them to use their moral principles that were instilled us as we were growing up to guide the individual can be challenging to say the least. Most people wish to use the information against you to push their agenda.

Remember to surround yourself with good people has more than one meaning. Surround yourself with individuals who display the same integrity that you have and have the same moral code. Stay positive, stay your course and be cautious in trusting those around you who say they have the same morality…
